I fancy scratch acid quite fine, and ive heard david yow explain that before that band he was in suck your mothers dick, which ive never heard. I was wondering if any of you people have heard them and can post a link so I can hear them or can explain what this band is like and if they have many similarities to scratch acids music

I think the band was called "suck your mother's cock" and that it really wasn't a band. I read/heard an interview somewhere where Yow told that there was a joke in wherever they were from that real bands made up phony bands and even promoted shows for them and at time there was lots of bandnames around which no-one was sure if they existed or not. Or something like that. Anyway, I think that "suck your mother's cock" was one of those phony bands. I might also remember this terribly wrong so don't count on my word.

i vaguely recall that story from Our Band Could Be Your Life...there was a little scene of "fake bands" in Austin at the time...putting up flyers etc...it's not all fresh in my mind, but this seems like the right answer to me!

I hope this was a real band. The way that David Yow was talking about it on the interview I heard made it sound like he didnt want to mention it because of the name. I dont think he would have said it if it wasnt a real band. I bet Steve knows about this band
