Rugby is much too rough and way too complicated for Americans.

Too complicated for Americans? Not a chance. They're human beings like the rest of the planet's homo sapiens population.

Look at baseball and American football. Can you honestly say these aren't as complicated (if not more) than rugby? Having moved to the USA from Ireland, I am consistently dazzled by the average barfly's knowledge of batting averages, plays and strategies.

In the end, GAA kicks all other sport arses anyway :)

Where I come from we call that a joke.
Americans got used to their (-20 dB pain) pads and motorcycle helmets and need cheerleaders to tell them how to support their team.

I agree, American football is a crazy sport. It's like a big chess game between to coaches. All that body armour is lame. Has anyone watched the USA in the Rugby World Cup? Wooosssses.

Great baseball and basketball teams though, so don't get too upset with me.

But why the fuck do Americans call the baseball champs the "world series"? Playing Canada occassionly is hardly the "world".
