Fancy way of saying favorite band?

Rocket From the Crypt. Because I fucking love them.

Well not really cuz I wouldnt say I have a favourite band. And if I do it's probably someone like Sonic Youth or something.

But they need no endorsement, especially on a board like this where you can guarantee everyone knows them.


I'd say Paul Newman. Of the thousands of bands that can be traced back to Slint one way or another, Paul Newman are the best, in my humblest of opinions. They know when to rock and they know when to be minimal and they know when to let the drummer do his thing. I wholeheartedly reccomend them to anyone who likes the math-rock/post-rock/slint-rock "genre".

Medications

Ex-Faraquet. You can get an mp3 off their band website, but you really oughta just g'head and buy their ep. Great playing, kinda mathy, but without letting that get in the way of the songwriting. Best band in DC, and mebbe the world, right now. For serious.
