i just got word from someone who spoke to his old publicist, it seems elliot committed suicide tonight.

i don't know if anyone here was a fan or not, i just felt like mentioning it. of course, best wishes to his friends/family/loved ones.

this is a very sad day for me.
my favourite singer/songwriter ever has died.
if you don't know this artist,i strongly recommend you give a listen to "either/or",his best record and one of the best records ever,in my opinion.
what a tragic loss.

Yes, sad when anyone has come to a point in which they feel there is no other option that to take their own life, talented musician or otherwise. Terrible news.

His self-titled album is so beautiful and I bet From a Basement on the Hill is better. I haven't heard Either/Or, but I just ordered that and two singles from KRS. He really was an impressive guitarist. I love "The White Lady Loves You More."

... Descubrí a Elliot Smith con either/or. Sus canciones suenan aun mas desgarradoras ahora que sé de su muerte.
Las personas como él, con esa extraordinaria sensibilidad no lo tienen fácil en los tiempos que corren.

Descanse en Paz
