Hey,
The tix should be available on the Metro's site
http://www.metrochicago.com
You will also be privy to some of the most superfluous flash menus this side of my anus.

I impulsively bought tickets for the Park West show instead of the Metro show. I don't know why, except that I have been to Park West only once before.
Also, the interweb put me in the "Dance" seating section (?!). I am picturing old couples ballroom dancing to Slint as they would to Lawrence Welk's band. I am firmly committed that this is how it will be.

It will be long gowns, tuxedos, and elbows to assholes in that motherfucker...
I took my chances on the Metro show, only because I don't want to be tired for Easter w/ the redline clan. I will have to use vacation days to attend, but it will be a small price to pay.

I got tickets for Park West because the Metro was sold out. I wish it were not so. I have never paid so much to see a show, and I am feeling a bit stupid. I have seen Slint more than most, and I am not sure what I am going to get out of this.

Son-of-a-bitch. I'm on family vacation that weekend. If it weren't for
the fact that the plane tix are paid for I'd cancel and go see Slint.
Damn it.

How were they?
I nearly bought tickets but didn't bother. The price was steep, it's gonna be a madhouse, and the Slint offspring I've seen in the years since have been enjoyable, but not a total knockout. I figure the likelihood of this band taking a decade off & coming back to be as great as, say, The Ex or something is pretty unlikely.
Were they as great as The Ex?

Maybe you can comfort yourself with this tidbit, the Metro show tickets were actually $1 more per ticket than the Park West shows ($27.50 vs. $26.50).
