Our 2" 24-track record and repro heads have finally bitten the dust; new replacements are about $4800.

you might also consider cutting your losses and upgrading to a 1" machine

just got the email from teac tech support... new headstack is available for this machine for about $900. WTF!?!? make it really expensive why don't they?!?!

900 isnt a bad price... considering its from tascam. then again i only paid 600 for my msr-16 which was in "like new" condition

just got the email from teac tech support... new headstack is available for this machine for about $900. WTF!?!? make it really expensive why don't they?!?!
When I was pricing out a 16 track headblock for the A820 the price we were given was $15,000
I was like, WTF!
