Has anybody here recorded an album on a day or two at Electrical? or does anybody know of an album recorded in 1-2 days at EA? I understand the implications of having such a small timeframe for recording, and I wanted to hear what to expect.Examples of a full rock band are better. Thanks!

Are you saying it can't be done?

I suppose it's sort of like expecting your rented sports car to get across the United States in two days.

I am just saying you might have to rush! Most studios I have ever spoken with frown upon rushing, as I think most people like to relax in their working environments in order to make sure they are satisfied with the end result. I am in a musical rock and roll group that had considered that but we figured we might as well just stay safe and wait until we can afford proper time.

Hey, in a day? very hard depending on your band situation. The band I'm in recorded a 12 song album in 3 days without our bass player we currently have. It was kind of stressful but we accomplished the guitar and drums the first day, bass and vocals the second, and mixing on the last day. I'd recommend staying there so its more of a relaxing time especially if your doing a whole album real fast like that.

two weeks ago we recorded an ep. 4 songs, and we recorded it in 6 hours.it was totally ridiculous.

The Splints - Love Letters and Broken BonesRecorded and mixed in one day in Studio B. 5 songs. Steve engineering. Drums, bass, and guitar recorded live with corrections, vocals overdubbed. The album was mastered by TJ Lipple at Silver Sonya.
