Here's a scanned version I found of the Don Cab tour diary, thanks to a very gracious gentleman named Shawn. I'd been wanting to read this for ages. It's a little hard to read some of the scans, but worth it.

Yeah, it was Chunklet #16. I thought, what the hey, I'll try to buy the issue from the Chunklet back issues. Ha- they're wanting $50 for it.

Oh yeah! I've seen this, I can't remember where, but this is awesome. Thanks.

Fred Weaver is the shit, he once sold me a t shirt on the internet.

i overheard a conversation with henry from chunklet at the battles show last month and they are planning to publish the Don Cab tour diary in book form some time soon. he said there was so much more material that wasnt published in the magazine, and its a very interesting read.

This was done by Brian "reluctantking" Walsby. He posts here. Salut!

Thanks for the tour diary link, mattw (and I think ShawnPhase), I've wanted to read it for quite some time.

Yes, thanks for this link. Thank you very much.

It stands to reason that someone with Damon Che’s talents would be a prima donna, but that cassette tape on the dashboard fit? I went to high school with gay dancers who were more grounded.

that was a fanstastic read. as a writer, i think the best written section dealt with the car accident. after finishing the diary i kept thinking about the van skidding across the ice and the fear and understanding that swept over the band as they were about to collide.

then i got in a friends car an hour or two later, and i joked about putting my seatbelt on. fifteen minutes later we were in a three car pile up on the side of the road, sandwhiched by two other cars. if that's not a strange, fucked-up coincidence, i don't know what is.

everyone was fine, no one was harmed, thankfully.
