Gear has been falling from the sky lately, so i have a surplus of projects. Bass VI, Mk II- just patching up a large gash in the bottom. I think Eliya has dibs on this one.77 Breadwinner-Had a rough spraypaint finish and lots of dings. Just filling those in and sanding back to a point where I can get a good coating. May try to mist coat to replicate the textured finish. Came w/ rail pickups...if they work they'll stay. E. Norma has dibs on this one.80's Cort/Matsumoku neck thru-Got this at a swap meet- complete w/ brass bridge and nut. gonna cut a tortoise guard and throw a couple nice low-output humbuckers in it. should be done in 2 weeks or so...anyone interested?70's set neck Westbury-I love these. It has seen better days, obviously. I'll do a quick patch/sand/fill, then I'm gonna paint it black. when done I'll keep this one and sell my Yamaha SBGmahogany shim to fill in the gaping hole that belonged to a weirdly placed switch.-busy busy busy

Holy shit...I was totally unaware of the silly prices these westbury's are at. I was just browsing, trying to figure out what sort of knobs and such. these auctions might be a tad optimistic, but still...might have to rethink the plan to sell the yamaha- this may bring in more cash when finished. http://cgi.ebay.com/Westbury-Standard-E ... ?pt=Guitarhttp://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Westbury-De ... ?pt=Guitar

Refinishing a crescent inlay SG for Adam and a Pan 335 copy for James. I sprayed the Westone with a super thin black Piano Lacquer- no clear coat, no sanding. I used an acrylic lacquer 'China Red' and similar clear coat on the bronco bass (this was the black one with the gash in the back). I secured, but did not fill, the veneer split. It will just crack again w/ changes in humidity, so it's just gonna have to be OK the way it is.neck thru cort is coming along. pickguard needs some refining but i think it's gonna look good.Breadwinner is nearing completion. Got the finish (acrylic laquer and clear again) to hold a bit of texture. Pots date this one to '74, earlier than I thought. Just need to adjust pickup mounting screws and put in a few screws.
