god damn I love it. After giving up trying to find a replacement neck for my Vaccaro, I bought a 52 tele reissue. It's really hard to find a decent left guitar, but this is fuckin it. perfect.
Anyone else like tele's?

4I love my tele (89 japanese standard, replaced pickups), though I don't use it tons.
I just got a blot on Epiphone SG w/ one P-90 pickup. Pretty cool, though the intonation can be a bit weird.
cheers,

5The coolest Tele I've seen is the 1970's Deluxe model. They're hard to find but rule. They've got a '70s big ugly Strat headstock and two massive humbuckers.

Yeah, those are awesome....they definitely take down the nerdiness of the tele a notch or two.. i think some have the strat headstock and others have a standard tele one.. some have a bigsby or bigsby-style tailpice too
They have a reissue out now known as the "custom" .. I think there's a squier version as well... though it definitely lacks the charm of the original

I have a 2000 MIM Tele which I didn't care for much until I customized it to '50s specs ('52 nocaster re-issue replacement neck, American vintage PUPs, ashtray tailpiece w/threaded steel saddles). Now it's my favorite.
You'll find lots of like-minded Tele fans here.
