Fucking Scotch from Islay of course!

I worked all day today without a break and into some overtime building and delivering Pro Tools rigs to mixing stages for some of the big dumb movies coming out this summer. It's a bit chilly this evening, so while I might normally go across the street and get a six of Fat Tire Amber Ale, tonight I went with Guinness Extra Stout in bottles. Packing a bowl, loading up a James Bond flick and...aaaaaahhhhhhhh, the weekend begins....

It's not fancy but lately (including right now) I like vodka, ice, water, and lime. Club if I have it. Sobieski right now.

I just finished a Berghoff Rock River Red Ale.

Georgetown Brewery's IPA, the Lucille. They don't bottle their stuff (yet), so you can only get it in Puget Sound area bars, and at the brewery itself. Lucky for me, the brewery is a five minute drive from my house.Not as bitter as a lot of IPAs, has a bit of sweetness to it that makes it palatable for my IPA hating wife. Probably my favorite IPA right now. I'm on my third pint of the evening, about to finish off the growler I filled up after I got off work.

I hope I don't get kerbled on this.For me? My latest weird favorite is The Yale - 2 parts gin, 1 part dry vermouth, 1/2 part Blue Curacao, liberal dash of bitters. Stir (not shake) vigorously with lots of ice. Get it very cold and pour into a cocktail glass of your choosing.If you use a premiium gin, you get a nicely flavored, balanced, but most importantly, STRONG cocktail with a measure of sophistication. If you don't want the froo-froo color of the Curacao, just use Triple Sec. But the dash of sweet fruit balances the bitters nicely.

We, as relatively enlightened but thoroughly debauched, like to imbibe. And this thread is NOT...I repeat, NOT....simply for stream-of-consciousness enumeration of your what's in your hand. I want to know what your beverage du jour is. What's titillating your tastebuds lately, but may not have been a month ago and may not a month hence?

Old Heaven Hill Bottled In Bond bourbon old fashioned. Proper. Sugar, Angostura, ice, a healthy quantity of bourbon, and an orange peel. That is how you make an old fashioned. Fuck a cherry. Fuck an orange slice. Those are great if you want to drink a treacly glass of lies.This is a very pleasant bourbon for twelve bucks. Remarkably smooth considering its youth and proof.
