I'm looking into having my music mastered for vinyl, and am interested in possibly working with these folks. My sense is that they may be gems in the industry (especially DRT, who I have some experience with). If anyone has had experience with them, or finds any interesting points in their descriptions on the web, I would greatly appreciate to hear your thoughts. I don't know anything about half-speed mastering, and am quite naive when it comes to mastering, and vinyl reproduction in general. Thanks in advance.

John Golden is certainly an option that I'm looking at as well.
Has anyone had experience working with these companies?
2Stan Ricker is a great guy who does some really great work. I would highly reccomend him, especially of you're doing any sort of acoustic music.
I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Ricker as an assistant on a session last fall that he subsequently mastered. It was an eye and ear opening experience. I learned a lot that day.
A real gem for sure, with a great set of ears.

3Stan Ricker just finish mastering the STNNNG vinyl, he did an excellent job and was very accomdating. I would recommend him in a heartbeat (esp if yr working on a smaller budget).
Shawn if you have any questions PM, I might be able to answer them.

4I really appreciate that Stan Ricker never uses buzzwords like "competitive" or "radio-friendly" anywhere on his website.
