i see alot of 'craps' here. hope it's not revisionist thinking. appetite for destuction was a monster of a record, and i've never met a soul with the balls to tell me he didn't rock out to it.

Crap. Guns N Roses was grungy hair metal, that's all.

i was in my teens. so that may be an issue. but i still think it rocks now, even though i don't listen to it much. i used to love gnr when i was 14 - i now see them as the stupid tossers they always were. but that doesnt change the fact that that record has good songs on it, even if it isn't smart.[/quote]

Yeah, it's got some good songs, but not that good. They don't make up for the cancelled concerts, the bad-boy posturing, the endless delays for the new record, the massive ego, the voice (jesus, fuckin' irritating after about an hour), The Spaghetti Incident - remember, the point of the game is to evaluate the entire trajectory of the group in question. You can't say one album is great, so Not Crap. Can you honestly say, taking everything into account, G'N'R is Not Crap?

ok, what about lies, some good songs on that one. and while use your illusion was a bloated mess, there were some saving graces no? at least, i once thought so.

a seminal, startoshere-puncturing first album
a pretty good ep
and a mediocre epic double album

and forget gnr now, they stopped being gnr when izzy left the band.

not a great band, maybe not even really good, but crap? no.

Can't do it. If they're still called "Guns 'N' Roses", you have to count everything.

thot a lot of it was fun to listen to as sludge

Guns 'n' Roses is perhaps the most hateable band that has ever existed.

I cannot think of a single redeeming quality of this band -- except the internal band inertia that has kept them from releasing more records.

Absolute crap.
