There's a great two-disc bootleg compilation floating around called In A Better World that's required listening. The concert video they made for Target (the San Fran "new wave" video company, not the discount chain store, dummy) has also been reissued on DVD, and Tomata Du Plenty was one hell of a crazed frontman. Most certainly not crap, even if Jello Biafra loves to namecheck them.

I've only heard one song by The Screamers, and I can't even tell you what it's called, but it's one of the NOT Crappiest things I've ever heard.

the video/dvd is amazing, a band truly ahead of their time.

Yeah, they chose not to make a record. They claimed to be waiting for laserdisc technology or something.

The release of the Target Video footage of the Screamers on DVD was one the greatest things to happen in the past year.

I watched it every night for a week when I first got it.

"122 Hours Of Fear" is the wickedest song of all time. Nothing else comes close. Show me a guy who says they've written a song that rocks harder, and I'll show you a fuckin' liar.

Just saw video on youtube for vertigo on Sunday. I can't think of anything that's less NOT CRAP in the world. What's sad is that no one I know except my friend who showed me the video has ever heard of them.
