Most shoegazey bands have too many nice poppy moments to be considred consistenylu noisy, but: Loop, Ringo Deathstarr, Boris, early Mercury Rev in a way.. um... I always thought Band of Susans had a shoegaze vibe to them.(Oh and Pink City too, totally. Apparently.)

putting aside my eternal hatred for the shoegaze moniker -http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QceMADBImmAand that, dear friend, is all you should ever need. the rest is either pail imitation or a swirly, lalala fuzzechotrem borefest.(except for Bardo Pond)

I would think that early TV on the Radio would fit the bill more. I, personally, don't know much of their music but my pal says that the song Staring at the Sun is a prime example of the genre. Than again, if I were to nominate a band I would say that Polvo could have been the beginning of that type of music, despite their mathy-ness, no?

Some of these are straying a little too close to the shoegazing and a little far from the noise.MBV anyone?
