This is going back a bit...On one of his rare visits in the mid 1970s, my father took me to the cinema. Once the G rated feature was over, a horror film started up and we stayed for the opening sequence until my dad realized I was getting freaked out. From what I remember, the scene begins with a small group of people intentionally entering this hole in the ground that leads to some kind of underground aquifer. They have to swim a bit and hold their breath until they pop out inside a underground cave. They are then attacked by a creature with really long fingernails that I assume leads to disfigurement and death but at that point my dad whisked me out of the theater.Any ideas?

Please help me remember the 1970's - 1990's movie (or movies) that begin with a close-up of a clock radio and the DJ's voice on that radio saying something along the lines of "It's gonna be scorcher today..."

The song may or may not be Frere Jacques, but it has that kind of feeling. A children's song, but in a very spooky kind of way. Whole thing was spooky/creepy. I'd like to know what it is so I can see it now. Small chance it might have been some made for TV thing. Was the movie Child of Glass? For the win!Thank you sir! For a long time I had thought it was possibly a Disney movie, but I wasn't aware of Child of Glass. Once rented Escape from Witch Mountain thinking that might have been it. Also thought it might have been Something Wicked this Way Comes for a while, but no dice there. But, I had a feeling the forum would come through. One of the many reasons I love this place. Salut! Now, hoping that the other two can be solved. Also, hope to help someone else fill in the blanks.

Very well done, as I thought my description of that was vague at best. Embarrassing thing is that I own this album. This is slightly mitigated by the fact that it's been in storage for about 5 years, and I've probably not listened to it for a while before that, as I tend to avoid listening to anything connected with the Beatles due to the sheer burnout of hearing them played so often (there is a bakery near my house that plays nothing but Beatles music, all the time, 7 days a week.)

So, sometimes there are things that are flickering on the edge of your memory, but you don't know what they are or can't remember what they are. Sometimes you can google it, but sometimes it just can't be googled. I've got three of them at present, two that have been with me for a long time, and one that happened the other day. Maybe someone out there can help. So, can anyone help me remember...(1) I remember this from a (I think) horror movie that I caught a glimpse of in the mid-80s. There appears to be a doll (or body?) but I think it's a doll at the bottom of a well, and it's singing a song in a little girls voice. The song may or may not be Frere Jacques, but it has that kind of feeling. A children's song, but in a very spooky kind of way. Whole thing was spooky/creepy. I'd like to know what it is so I can see it now. Small chance it might have been some made for TV thing. (2) Movie I caught a glimpse of in 80's as well. Guy is talking on a phone in some semi-tropical jungle location while a firefight from some coup d'etat appears to be happening around him. There's a rally car behind him and he's saying something like I've got the car, I've got the car! before all of a sudden the car gets hit by an RPG or something and blows up. Later they enter some rally race in some beat up rally car. I think there's a woman in the movie as well. I'm not even sure I'm interested in seeing this movie as much as I am in knowing what it was, and possibly the make and model of that first rally car which got blown up. (3) Caught a fragment of a song on the radio at the curry shop the other day. The only lyric I think I could make out was I want you to always love me The chorus appears to be a girls name, almost sounded like the Cars, but the singer sounded more like Todd Rundgren. From the 70's by the sound of it, there is a synth solo, and then also a sax solo. Driving me slightly crazy, as I know I've heard it before, but can't place it at all.If anyone can help on any of those three, awesome......post yours, maybe we can help each other. ...and if there's another thread like this, someone can Kerble me and help me remember it. I was JUST thinking of starting a thread like this one.A film, made in the 1970's I believe: Some deep sea divers find an old sunken ocean liner but a porthole opens and a woman appears in the window. A submarine expedition enters the ship and finds that most of the crew and passengers have survived and seem to be in good health except for a group of outcasts who live on the far side of the ship. These outcasts are passengers who tried to make it to the surface but had gotten the bends and returned. In the end the expedition wants to to rescue the survivors and take them to the surface but many of them don't want to leave. I believe there is some sort of violent conflict aboard the ship with the outcasts and maybe the captain tries to sabotage the rescue but I can't remember for sure. Anyone know the name of this movie?
