Also, try emailing Beyer. A lot of times you get some guy at the company that is pretty cool about just telling you how to fix it. Shure has in the past for me. I seem to remember having to call Roland America for something like that about 15 years ago too, and I think they just told me how to fix something, that might have been Kawai though. Include those photos in the email, and I bet they will help you out.

Trash?I would send it to Beyer or a Beyer approved tech for repair. The mic may be working, but it could easily be out of spec if it got bashed. Also, you need to upload pics to a third party site like imgur and then link them using the [img] tag.

I was recording a drummer who smacked my M201. It still works, seemingly fine, but the very top of the mic (mesh wire and foam strip underneath) was damaged beyond repair, by me at least. For some reason, I couldn't upload a photo??? - So, what would you guys do about this broken M201? Leave it as is, as long as it's working? Send to Beyer for repair? Put some duct tape on it? Trash?

It might not be that expensive.

I can't believe how quickly they turned this mic around - I sent it to Beyer's NA repair company United Sound Services, LLC USPS on Saturday and I just got the invoice for less than $100...Friggin' stellar service!greg wrote:scoopneck wrote:I was recording a drummer who smacked my M201.
