GreetingsDoes anyone in the London area have a silver AKG W17 metal push-on type windscreen they could sell or hire out to me?It's the type that was an accessory for C451's/C28's etc. Often seen on BBC TV shows from the 70's (from the Old Grey Whistle Test to various chat shows etc!) Need one urgently for a TV shoot next week!

Hi RodabodI noticed you said you have several of the W17 windsheild's. I volunteer at a hospital radio station in London and we need a W17 with the securing collar for one of our C451 mics. Would you have one you want to donate or possibly sell to us?Thanks.

I can vouch for that, the W17 don't provide much popping-stopping(!?). More of an retro aesthetic add-on really. I bought some AKG W90 foam windshields which fit very well get the job done. They are still available.

Hi, to be honest, you'd probably be better off with a foam windshield. The only reason I can think to want to use one of the original screens is that they look cool.
