I hope this is the right place to pose this question. I'm trying to find pickups similar to the single coils found on the travis bean TB500 or what you'd find on a single coil EGC. I mean they have the soapbar shape of p90s but they definitely look different. I've never seen a p90 that didn't have those screws sticking out and on these pickups it looks like a wider single coil. Just curious if anyone knows of anything similar. I don't think EGC sells pickup sets at all.

I sent an email asking how much they are and if they're able to be mounted in a traditional guitar.

Worst that will happen is that Kevin or HIliary will give you a polite no.The EGC pickups are built like a Tele pickup, with AlNiCO pole pieces and a metal base-plate, but they're over-wound and seem to be epoxied into the P-90 style case. The reason there are no top screws showing is because the pickups are attached from the bottom, through the aluminum neck-through block. If you want to see the guts of an EGC500, there are pictures here:https://www.flickr.com/photos/benadrian ... 243036439/Cheers!Since they're mounted through the pack I'm guessing this would be a little tricky on a more traditional guitar? This is very interesting though. I couldn't find any kind of info on the EGC pickups OR tb pickups. Didn't know it was built like a tele pickup. So does that mean I could get a similar sound out of just an overwound single coil? Like a lipstick pickup or something?

I'll try picking through it and see what I find.

I ordered a set of humbucker sized EGC P-90's for my baritone about a month ago, so there's that.
