Boris, the Japanese metal band. I recently picked up Amplifier Worship and Akuma No Uta (with mock-Bryter Layter cover art!), and am thoroughly enjoying them. These are great albums, and I say this band is NOT CRAP. They are a fine rock band.

One of my cats is named Boris. Not after this band or the Melvins song. It just seems like a good cat name.

Not crap. I like Boris. I used to have a video of them playing - I'll see if I can find it and I'll give up the details. Someone on this message board recently mentioned them, who could it have been?

I like this band a lot. Amp Worship and the random Jesu tracks I've been able to find have been serving me so, so well in the '05.

I love these guys.

My Japanese teacher is always amused when I ask him about Japanese rock bands, but I think it's mostly because he's 40 and thinks it's all for crazy 20 year olds who dress like freaks in Harajuku.

He did admit to me once that his young son likes Puffy AmiYumi.

Nah. I'm not really a Who fan, though I'm not really a detractor either.
