Hey people,
a friend of mine asked me to get input on this idea of his, so tell me what you think of it.
Him: "I'm thinking of starting a website where, music bands and artists can upload songs, and make have a website and blog and what-not....but the key thing is, its not a free song download, the artist sets a price for people to buy the song"
Me: "Purevolume meets iTunes?"
Him: "Yeah, exactly."
He's also thinking of putting an online radio station there & articles/reviews/other content
Personally, I think it's really interesting, but I'm not about to tell him to run with it just yet.
So what does everyone else think?

3When I had lots of disposable income and a decent record store nearby, I used to do it all the time.

5I would advise strongly against it.
To see the arrogance/exploitation that is mp3-vending emulated on an independent scale would make me feel ill. It might put others off for similar reasons.

6How would you keep watch over people uploading songs that are not theirs, or more specifically, songs they do not have the right to sell?
