Never heard of em.

I am a fan of Peavey stuff- it is cheap, well made (until the 90's) and easy to find.You are buying the right stuff.

What are you opinions on vintage Peavey gear?I have a small obsession currently with peavey amps.I currently own:1977 Peavey Standard PA Mixer 160H series (used for guitar, kick ass fuzzy sounding distortion)1974 Peavey Bass 400 Series (Kick ass bass distortion, Pre amp only, bought for $40 due to missing amplifier)1988 Peavey Combo 300 (I run the 400 series pre amp into it) Then a peavey bass and guitar combos. i noticed Peavey Gear in the 90s started getting cheaply made. plastic corner pieces, shitty pots, cheaper speakers. Just from my experience at least.I don't see Steve talking about them at all. I know he likes Traynor Gear. I also recently bought a 74' Traynor YVM 4. Not a huge fan but still sounds great considering it's a PA amp as well.Anyway what do you suggest me getting, looking into next? i know there is the 5150 amps but i'm not a fan of the tone. i like harsher fuzzier tones rather then the modern sounding distortions.

Don't pay more than $200 and it should at least have most of its knobs.

Hah I got rid of it too, for the same reason. sounded massive and awesome but I felt like a bully with two 412s compared to my other guitarist's single 212, so I downsized. Would buy again if I needed such power.

Proud owner of a T-40 and a Valverb. Used to have a 4x12 with Sheffields that FM Boombats got in a trade. Only got rid of it because of space issues, but if I needed another cab I'd totally look for one.

I got a peavey rock master head for $300 and I'm totally happy with for heavier stuff or a pedal platform. It can convincingly cover most bases and I'm not afraid of taking it to shows in sketchy places. I play it weekly and my Marshall JMP sits on a shelf.For the money the solid state bass heads are tough to beat and I've seen enough metal and hardcore bands use them for guitar just fine.Don't judge Traynor based on the yvm PA, reserve judgement until youve cranked a pbass through a yba3

The Classic series are severely underrated amps

Big fan of my peavey reactor. Absolutely love that guitar. I've got a classic something or other amp that is also good. I've got a peavey t bass that is also good. All of it cost fuck all.
