It's an interesting idea. You do right to try with less valuable stuff first.

Fretish.comI've been looking for a site like this as a way to make some extra income from my gear hoarding. Looks like great idea, and the interface seems well thought-out. I'm going to throw a few of my less-valuable things up there and see what happens.

Note that I don't have an issue with PayPal and my Reverb account. It seems like it's run by one guy right now. You ought to contact him directly and let him know that is a drag.

I ve thought about renting gear out as well. It would be a good way for me to offset maintenance costs. Let us know!

Make sure your gear is insured before listing it.

I also do my own maintenance, so my cost outlay for anything that breaks is almost nothing.I like what you are doing. It seems like a way to help facilitate the community and who knows who you will meet and may end up playing music with because of this.I have lent out (not rent) instruments before to friends and even then the results are about 50/50 with whether the instrument comes back damaged or not. Still it's just an object and who cares in the end? However, you can insure your instruments and rent them...https://www.anderson-group.com/faqs/#rent
