Special night for Cleveland pitching (or Toronto hitting). Trevor Bauer no-hit the Blue Jays for seven innings - with six walks. Francona yanked him for Brad Hand - who promptly loaded the bases, but also hitlessly. The high-BB no-hitter is an oddity, combined or otherwise.

Didn't the Orioles pull the starter during a no-hitter too?Things have already gotten psychedelic this season: add in Greinke with 10Ks and two home runs the other night.Trevor Bauer's outing: a case of overcompensating for teammate Corey Kluber's clobbering at the hands of the White Sox yesterday afternoon. (3.1 innings, 8H, 6R 4ER 4K). Or, it could just be basic baseball, a great thing which is back finally hot damn tamale man baseball fuck yesClevo will probably take the division. I like these White Sox for 75ish wins. More if they get a bullpen.-r

Ah yes, the 7-2 2019 reimagined roster non-rebuilding Seattle Mariners. Some very enjoyable contributors to enjoy, including: Domingo Santana, Mitch Haniger, Dan Vogelbach, Omar Narvaez, Yusei Kikuchi, Mallex Smith......and fucking god damn Corey Gearrin. There he is to load up those bases in the eighth and ninth innings and take two minutes between every pitch while doing it. Some truly twisted shit.Other than that, cool!

Bauer threw 117 pitches in 7 innings, no doubt attributed to walking six and striking out eight. I'm no baseball PhD, but I believe pitchers are given a short leash during their first start(s) of the year. I'm surprised Francona left him in after he reached 100 pitches. Clevinger dominated the Sox, allowing only one hit through seven but had thrown 106 pitches due in large part to 12 Ks.

I feel like I need to take a week off and go to the desert to think about Chris Davis. Just me, some water, some canned goods, a chalkboard, five legal pads, and a half dozen pencils. They can't keep putting him in the lineup. A person shouldn't be treated that way. I don't care how much his contract is for. It's horrible. Dude isn't a Syrian refugee, I get it, but fucking a, just end it.

I know Lindor's coming back in a few weeks and Jose Ramirez's slump from August 2018 probably isn't going to carry over into ALL of this year, but there's quite a bit of replacement level dead weight making outs for that team everyday.Great rotation though. That might be enough. They'll need to win A LOT of 3-1 games to do it though. Total garbage that they didn't try harder knowing this is probably their last chance to go deep before they likely blow it up next winter.

Also in this family: Charlie Montoyo's œThey re better hitters than what they re hitting right now. When that s going to happen, I don t know, but it s coming. Nobody s going to hit .100 “ we re better than that. We know that. the emphasized part of which Jays fans have had a field day with.
