Ah yes, the 7-2 2019 reimagined roster non-rebuilding Seattle Mariners. Some very enjoyable contributors to enjoy, including: Domingo Santana, Mitch Haniger, Dan Vogelbach, Omar Narvaez, Yusei Kikuchi, Mallex Smith......and fucking god damn Corey Gearrin. Bauer threw 117 pitches in 7 innings, no doubt attributed to walking six and striking out eight. I'm no baseball PhD, but I believe pitchers are given a short leash during their first start(s) of the year. I'm surprised Francona left him in after he reached 100 pitches. Clevinger dominated the Sox, allowing only one hit through seven but had thrown 106 pitches due in large part to 12 Ks.
