not a fan of Yes or this song. What I am a fan of is singing "boner of a lonely horse" during the chorus.

Not Crap, some waffles. "Owner of a Lonely Heart" is pretty heavy on the cheese! It works on the whole, but is very "eighties" in a cliched and almost comically over-the-top way. They piled it on thick with the super fake orchestral stabs and the guitar solo that sounded like it was fed through $20,000 worth of rackmount effects. It's not an organic sounding song, is what I'm trying to say.

CRAP. Catchy but bad song by a mostly bad band.Includes shrieking along to orchestra hits, which is pretty funny.Video directed by Peter Christopherson of Throbbing Gristle/Coil.

Has basically nothing to do with '70s Yes. It was a Trevor Horn-driven project that they slapped "Yes" onto.It holds up way better than it deserves to (certainly clean and produced but also one of the few hits of that time not drenched in regrettable reverb), but everything else from that era & later is fucking awful. Mild NC.

This is one of the best songs for inserting dumb alternative lyrics into; I don't know if it's good for much else but it's good for that. For instance, I have a chroma harp in my garage, so you know what that makes me.

Was a huge Yes fan when I was 14. Had all the old stuff and spun it on the reg. Then this unfortunate offering happened and turned me straight the fuck off. I still listened to the old Yes, but stopped copping to it to avoid questions. Kinda like I did with "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" and all other post-that Rod Stewart.
