Dumb on so many levels and incredibly interesting on others. The most interesting thing about cryptos is the technology behind it, rather than the gambling with the money part.

the environmental thing wasn't really part of the discussion (or, to my shame, I hadn't noticed it) until the NFT craze took off. So I'm pretty sure it's unequivocally crap. How useful is this kind of decentralisation really -- like, compared to something like bittorrent. Surely it's not worth burning up the planet.

i do have a little bit, and it's (sadly) probably a good investment. But I don't think I'd get into it again, knowing what we know.
