I enjoyed the first episode of Abstract: The Art of Design (the one with Christoph Niemann, the illustrator). I confess to not having delved further, so I don't know how good the others are.

That looks insufferable. Like a documentary of "artist statements," which I never read, because usually they are insufferable, no matter how much I may enjoy the art. I would like to see that film with just a musical accompaniment. Like I would watch that if Werner Herzog made it.

I've been watching Green Frontier, after really liking Birds of Passage (same director, weaves native myths into crime narrative). It's original and very intriguing, although I'm halfway through and they've just introduced nazis to the plot, possibly dashing my hopes it was a more soulful allegory of Amazonian deforestation. We'll see...

Netflix
I'm liking StartUp so far. I don't like to think about what that means about me.

Portrait of a Lady on Fire is amazing. Didn't even need a script with lines, just countenances were enough. Tenet is severely over-rated. Dollface is pretty good. Mare of Easttown is good.

I don't know why it took me so long, but I just finished the first (and only so far I think) season of The Righteous Gemstones on HBO Max and it was very good. Grade A Entertainment.
I also enjoyed watching Kare Winslet as Philly Boy Roy in the Mare of East Town. Jean Smart is excellent in it, and also in Hacks which is also great.
