I own a Technics SL-B35 turntable with push button start/stop and auto-return features.
I hooked it up because by SL-1200 was distorting at slightly higher volume in the upper midrange frequencies (ideas on that?), and it was working great until I thoughtlessly yanked the tonearm to stop a record, since I was used to the 1200.
Now the start button fails to engage the platter. When I press the start button, the platter spins very slowly for a second, and then nothing happens. If I manually spin the platter a few revolutions, it engages the tonearm/platter and everything kicks into operation.
Does anyone know of a way to reset or re-engage the start function so it starts correctly when I press the button?
Thanks in advance for any help!
