The French-Canadian band Corridor, currently signed to Sub Pop. Very into their 2019 Junior LP, and I don't see their name crop up, well, anywhere much, to be honest.

The record is really great, consistent ,shimmery pop. I think I mistakenly clicked on 'merde' because like 'terrible' the word sits in my Francophone headspace as a good thing.

One of my favorite records of 2019. Really great guitar pop. I like just about every song on it.

I like the guitaring on "Domino", and the Neu-esque buildup. "Topographe" had a good riff and a nice texture, made me think of Television and then... New Order perhaps? Reminds me of "Atmosphere" probably. "Grand cheval" begins sounding like a rather boring, conventional pop song, but then there's some hypnotic psychedelia stuff happening in the middle and suddenly I notice the guitar line from the beginning is still there, but now it sounds completely different, wouldn't imagine it sounding like that. Interesting.
Didn't grab me at first, but they have been growing on me. "dadada-dadada dadada-dadada", it stays in my head. Felt like music that wouldn't.
