Because I find Low so completely superior to "Heroes" in every aspect, I've been putting in listening time with the latter to see if my mind is changed.

There's nothing remotely on the level of "Breaking Glass" or "Sound and Vision" on "Heroes", and the instrumental half also seems much more interesting on Low. It's a much fresher record to me. I'm interested in reading the case for the opposite.

Low is the better album. Lodger might also be better than “Heroes,” but I’m not sure. Tougher call.

But honestly? I like Station to Station better than any of the three Berlin records.

Low is the better record album, but I'd give it up forever if it meant I could still listen to the track "Heroes."

Yup. Station to Station wins any Bowie dome for me, and honestly is one of my top 5 all time.

Pretty much this. Glad I first heard this song in the 90's before the stupid Wallflowers cover.

The most frustrating thing about Low is how fast it breezes by and that Bowie never did anything quite like it again.

That brevity is part of what makes it great, though. "Breaking Glass" is a monument of a track, IMO.

Since I began with Low, I was pretty frustrated that the following two albums don't quite have that crazy energy and textures. Plenty of other art rock bands do, though.

Low. This is somehow a very hard call with a very clear answer. Side A of Heroes is fucking heat, of course - "Beauty & The Beast" into "Joe The Lion" into "Heroes" is a fucking knockout punch, weird epic funky stuff. But Low is just so clear and wistful, and the colors are so bright. The emotions hit in every sound and arrangement, and the brevity makes it more impactful.

side comment: "Joe The Lion" and Neil Young's "Last Dance" have related DNA to me.

Low all day long.

I was obsessed with this when I first heard it in the ‘90’s. Still am. The best of the so called “Berlin” trilogy. One of his best period. The first side of song snippets is incredibly entertaining and the second side of experimentation with new sounds is gripping.

He didn’t do anything better after Low until Blackstar in my opinion.

Low doesn't have Robert Fripp. Or "Moss Garden."
