Risk of Rain 2 - for you synth-based fusion lovers out there.
Grindstone - Sounds like mid-2000's electronic inspired mixed with lofi hip hop. There's maybe 2 tracks that stick out more as a video game vibe, but the rest of the album is top notch as an electronic album.

IMO, this thread would be incomplete without mentioning the soundtrack for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
...or, is that not considered an "original soundtrack"?
I suppose it is, if it were created for the purpose of the video game!

Don't mean to sidetrack the conversation (I'll drop it eventually, I promise)... but I suddenly had a thought that "original" may mean that some person or people actually sat down and wrote original music and/or content specifically for the soundtrack, and that it wasn't just a compilation of songs used in said video game.
It's a good question. I think if the music were created for the video game, then it is what we are talking about.

I used to listen to the Super Metroid soundtrack using General Midi files and a soundblaster 16 card on my 386. Dang. I am getting old.

A challenge because nostalgia covers for a lot of bad music but the Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening 2019 OST features a running commentary on nostalgia so I guess that elevates it to Art?
Animal Crossing. Kazumi Totaka is my favorite VGM composer.
My favorite VGM melodies: Chrono Trigger
These are all 2+ hours so if you're sticking closer to the standard LP format, it's Katamari Damacy.
