Re: Band: Thin White Rope
2The first two promotional copy records I ever got from a friend who worked in a record store were Ruby Sea by Thin White Rope and Flower Power by The Poster Children. I never listened to anything else by Thin White Rope, but I like that one.

Thin White Rope is NC. I wouldn't call them paisley underground, More post punk/americana/alt country, but who give s a fuck.

5Cool, never heard of them before, but it's right square in my wheelhouse. Definite NC.
Re: Band: Thin White Rope
6Fucking fantastic.
40 seconds onto 'It's OK' on 'In the Spanish Cave' there is a guitar that sounds like some sort of horrendous, fantastical sea monster roaring from God-knows- where.
Then (same album) there is Munich Eunich and Red Sun straight after each other. Both insanely great.
Even if you hate the music (which I could maybe understand), they are worth hearing for the guitars. Brilliant, brilliant guitars. Also, who sounds like Thin White Rope? Nobody, that's who.
10/10. Not Crap. WF zero.

7Adam 1_3, you urge me to listen to them again. I’ve failed to get them to stick on previous attempts - I believe the copy of ‘In the Spanish Cave’ I have was gathered after reading another one of your urging a decade past - and I think I remember the colossal guitar part you mention, but I did not linger over them. If this new attempt is successful, I shall report back. Regardless, still much better than the better-known 90’s band named after jizz.
