I've posted about these on the old forum before, but this is a GREAT demo of how good the once maligned Boss PW-2 sounds on bass:

Chris I know you and I talked about this privately but I was absolutely SHOCKED how the prices of these have gone through the roof - I'm super curious to know which famous person made these desirable all of a sudden. Mine was like $50 (if that) and most of the listings now are > $200 like it's going to be the next hyperfuzz or something.

Fuckin' seriously! I've dug around a bit, but haven't found that some person in the cool new "hardcore band that now plays shoegaze" or "metal band that now plays indie rock" is using one of these, so I'm kind of at a loss!

The price on these just shot up in the last 2 months. Was hovering around $80 for years. I think I've owned 2, though I never tried it on bass. I definitely liked it way better than the XT-2 that was released at the same time. The price on those increased a year or two ago but still roughly $100 less than where the PW-2 currently is.
