Thought this might be helpful place to post gear demos that don't make you rip out your eyeballs and fill your ears with superglue.
I've posted about these on the old forum before, but this is a GREAT demo of how good the once maligned Boss PW-2 sounds on bass:

3Gonna record a cover of "Don, A Man" where the first line is "Now here's my clean tone".Garth wrote: Mon Nov 01, 2021 3:23 pm any demo from Andy Martin is going to be better than anything else.,,

6Agree. His, for me, showcase usefulness in a song context.Garth wrote: Mon Nov 01, 2021 3:23 pm any demo from Andy Martin is going to be better than anything else.,,

7Chris I know you and I talked about this privately but I was absolutely SHOCKED how the prices of these have gone through the roof - I'm super curious to know which famous person made these desirable all of a sudden. Mine was like $50 (if that) and most of the listings now are > $200 like it's going to be the next hyperfuzz or something.tallchris wrote: Mon Nov 01, 2021 1:27 pm Thought this might be helpful place to post gear demos that don't make you rip out your eyeballs and fill your ears with superglue.

8Fuckin' seriously! I've dug around a bit, but haven't found that some person in the cool new "hardcore band that now plays shoegaze" or "metal band that now plays indie rock" is using one of these, so I'm kind of at a loss!Garth wrote: Wed Nov 03, 2021 12:28 pmChris I know you and I talked about this privately but I was absolutely SHOCKED how the prices of these have gone through the roof - I'm super curious to know which famous person made these desirable all of a sudden. Re: Gear Demos That Aren't Terrible
9The price on these just shot up in the last 2 months. Was hovering around $80 for years. I think I've owned 2, though I never tried it on bass. I definitely liked it way better than the XT-2 that was released at the same time. The price on those increased a year or two ago but still roughly $100 less than where the PW-2 currently is.tallchris wrote: Wed Nov 03, 2021 1:08 pmFuckin' seriously!
