Probably zero chance finding this here or most places but I'd be up for playing with free jazz/improv types near Milwaukee, especially horns or acoustic/acoustic-leaning instruments (archtop guitar w/ pickup, electric piano, etc). My leanings are more Alice than John Coltrane these days, but I'm open..

Looking for local musicians that would be interested in helping flesh-out songs and sketches of songs I've been sitting on for quite a while. I play drums in a band called Whales, and we've been on indefinite hiatus. The songs I've been sitting on sound nothing like Whales, I believe, but they are melodic and dynamic. Just to give you an idea of what was going through my head back then, here are a handful of songs I wrote at that time..







...and am now interested in heading in a slightly different direction, but still melodic. I'm not necessarily into joining an existing project. I have songs I'm not that capable of fleshing-out on other instruments (cos I mostly dick around on other instruments) which is why I need you and your creative and unique ideas which are entirely welcome! I am in Minneapolis and would have loved to have a band to work out these songs I put together at the link below. Some are more realized than others and a real drummer and some jamming out of the arrangements and some other perspectives and ideas would have benefitted them. If anyone in the Twin Cities wants to get together and play these songs or make up new ones this is an example of where I am at and what I can do. I didn't play lead guitar on any of them, two of my friends did. I play guitar and bass and can sing if needed but don't consider myself a singer.
