No, I'm not talking earmuffs, keep it PG, self censoring. I mean replacing a derogatory word with a more neutral swear or insult . I'm sure there are a few that need replacing, but first in my mind is calling someone a pussy.

I won't explain why the word is unfavorable, as I'm sure everyone gets it. Chauvinism aside, I like that it's a mildly offensive word indicating someone is being unnecessarily weak, feeble or whiny.

The best replacement I've heard is saying someone is being a weenie. I like that it's a vaguely phallic insult that also denotes weakness but it doesn't have the same level of zing.

I very rarely resort to insults except jokingly amongst friends and family, and I don’t think I’d ever use a similar word to this one outside of that circle. That being said, the word I can think of that could mean something similar while being less overtly offensive is “wuss”.

Among the studio records, Sorry Ma probably contained the most (the lyrics got a bit artsy after that). The drunken live recordings could have had more, but I've never counted.

Same. Ironically, a foul insult is a sign of trust and affection from me because I'd only use it on someone who understands I mean no harm.

My partner told me recently "I hate it when people say 'pussy' to convey weakness because pussies are strong. They give birth!" Can't really argue with that.

But I'm all for anything phallic-y. I've caught myself saying dingus a lot lately, because it's kind of funny/absurd on all sides. It also won't scare the dogs out of the room like fuck does.

"Secret Squirrel..." is also solid for when you are confused/at whit's end, and a swear might be needed.

(Usually a stand in for "Son Of A ....)

A friend of mine worked in the studio where they did ADR over the curse words on the censored-for-TV version of Supertroopers, and the line that cracked us up was "it's a Viking nightmare" (instead of "fucking").
