The main riff/melody... the whole thing actually has some Qotsa's "Avon" vibe, sort of.

In "Inquisition" by Skinny Puppy, you know that main melodic line? Du-du du-du. Did they come up with it? Did it appear in some popular dance track later? Or is it nowhere else than in that song? It's been driving me crazy.

Probably a coincidence then. That Chrome song was from the lost tapes: unfinished recordings from their original run that Helios Creed dug up maybe 10 years ago.

I was listening to Chrome's Half Machine from the Sun: Lost Tapes 1979-1980, and I feel like a lot has been lifted from this collection.

In addition to the one I posted above, seems like Disappears later work, and FACS, took a lot from this:

I think all those bands were channeling Berlin era Bowie, especially knowing Disappears covered Low a few years back.
