Hi, i'd like to share our band, we release our first song yesterday !

It's 100% DIY, recorded, mixed and mastered by ourselves at a friend's place in the countryside near Grenoble (in france), and then the video was shot in the pyrenees, in the batcave of an other friend.

it's a sort of industrial punk coldwave (because there are lots of synths). The industrial side is due to the fact that we recorded drum samples at our singer's workshop, he is a black smith : I was a bit scared for my microphone when soldering next to it but it turned out fine and we use a lot those samples. Here are some pictures

Some other pictures of the recording :

we used two different bass amps and the signal was split. One was an ampeg svt3 and the other one a Sunn. I don't know if it was such a great idea because at the end we ended up using mainly the ampeg.

But next to us in the building where we recorded was an Aikido club, so we borrowed some tatamis and big matresses to build "cabins" to isolate our amps.

Then to minimize the acoustics when recording the vocals, we built a cabin with those same matresses and tatamis and some theatre curtains.

The drums and synth were recorded directly straight into the soundcard.
But then we reamped the drums going through the bass amp in this big concrete room, and placed a couple of room mics to have the stereo ambiant sound (which we then delayed a little bit, thanks for the trick steve albini!).

We reamped some of the synths as well but didn't have time to do it all and sometimes it was deceiving.

I like the sounds. It's very rare to find contemporary EBM-like stuff that is at all worth listening to. This has character and bite.
