the wonderful DuPage County Hardcore bandcamp page recently unearthed a four song EP that I played guitar & second drums on back in the year 2002.
I had not heard this in ages and listening to it with fresh ears reminded me that this was probably the best thing I have ever been a part of - unfortunately, we basically wrote these four songs, recorded them in our practice space (i did the recording and i think it's a complete mess in the best way - at times sounds incredible and at times is way out of control) and quickly broke up thereafter.
FM steve said "Karate fans should be all over this" and that's a good call as we were all fans - i also remember listening to a lot of VSS on the way to practice during this time which would explain the spooky/dark nature of the guitar playing
oh well.
Re: Sorns
2Fun stuff! It's not miles apart from something Jade Tree would put out in the late '90s, though very few bands were doing Bowie-like vocals at that time. Sound quality is damn good for a practice space recording.
"Awesome bands you were in that fell apart quickly" would be a good future thread, I've got a couple for sure.
