Re: Band: Sexa
2Huge fan of all three eras of this band (herky-jerky fractured miniatures, alienated post-punk, horny noise-rock brutality). What an absolutely bizarre trajectory SexA had. The LP No Sleep Till Pussy/Fuck Piction remains a titanic favorite around these parts, particularly Bic's grimy, tremolo bar-abusing guitar playing, although the drumming is also spectacular and the vocals are hilarious. Inspired by Rapeman, but not particularly derivative of it--singularly odd, sleazy, and heavy somehow.
The two prior incarnations of the group were almost as good. Not crap, no reservations. (Although I am sorta kinda biased.)

3Someone rec’d this on this board, and I put them on one of my driving playlists. Whenever they come on I make a note to check them out further, so thanks to whoever did that.
