As a full-grown adult paying rent and taxes I recall watching for the very first time the video for "Blood" with a mixture of excitement and curiosity. It's amazing to still get those feelings from a band even if said band has been dissolved since the mid-80s. It was surprising to note their earlier music was more pop/new-wave oriented, but the songs were still solid and memorable with a fantastic drumming. Before ultimately becoming The Sugarcubes they were slumming with Killing Joke in a project called Niceland. I wish an enterprising archival record label would release those tunes.
