The home of the B-52s up against the birthplace of Socratic thought up against the, um... "home of Ohio University, a large public research university with an undergraduate and graduate enrollment of more than 21,000 students," according to Wikipedia.

Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and pick Greece even though I've not been to anyplace called Athens.

Completely unqualified to vote as I have not been to any of these places.
That being said:
1. Athens, Georgia. Two of my favorite bands are from there.
2. Athens, Greece. Yeah, it's in Europe, historical, but those aforementioned two favorite bands mean more to me.
3. Athens, Ohio. Have been to most of the Mid-American Conference universities and have liked them but haven't been to this one. Had one unfavorable interaction with their marching band 25 years ago, and that puts them at the bottom of the list.

Psh. It's so mild here - only a couple of months get super hot and swampy.

I can imagine the good food I might get in Greece or Georgia, but I know nothing about what I might eat in Ohio. Is there some kind of transcendent Ohio-style breakfast or something?

That does sound like my kind of weather. Nearly twenty years in Minneapolis and I've acclimated to the cold-assed five month winters but I still hate them.
Unfortunately, my partner's career is here and there's no convincing her to relocate.

I’ve only been to one of them. The other two can’t possibly be as cool as the Pylon one.
That said, The Colossus of Maroussi is one of my all-time favorite books, and it makes me want to go to Greece every time I read it.

The one time I had Cincinatti chilli, I unknowingly walked into a Skyline mid stick-up.
