We spent a good portion of this morning talking about Steve. I mean, that is every day, but today Tim M offered some new gems and I am now slightly intoxicated and heavy with grief thinking about it. Let’s hear your personal stories with Steve. Let’s remember this incredible friend.

I “knew” Steve for no more than two days, so I don’t have an extravagant story, But..

I was able to see him in his element. In the studio. He genuinely seemed like he was enjoying himself, even when recording my vanilla band.

At one point during our session, this happened:

Steve: *fart*

Steve: “safety”

I know it’s mundane, but.. I guess he was expecting one of us to punch him after he farted?!

Oh yeah, every encounter with Steve in the studio, even mundane ones, would lead to a funny story or incident.

Like the time he told us about front bums.

It came up because another engineer came down with a case of some sickness I forget the name of.. "Ears, throat, shoulder" or something like that.

Steve riffed on it calling it something like "Ears, throat, leg, arm, ass, front bum.."

*our ears perk up in the control room*

"..did you know in the UK little girls call their private parts 'front bums'.."

*a combination of laughs and WTF faces*

"Yeah. Apparently, they would rather equate their genitals with their assholes than say vagina"

*more laughter*

"..British people will say cunt this and cunt that, but they refuse to say vagina"

^ By far the most common word in the UK would be 'fanny'.

I remember when I discovered Americans use the word to mean ass, and thinking it was weird.

Little, little story as i didn't know him. Back in 2016 when i was searching high and low for M380 replacement parts and finally found some good ones, more than i needed and posting it on the forum. Steve answered. He wrote me a message - whoa!!! Ever since "lungs" came out, i followed Steves music and then... blew my mind.
