C/NC: Jack Black

I'm helping out on guitar in the orchestra pit for our high school's production of School Of Rock: The Musical. It's big dumb fun, and the kids have really worked hard to pull it together. The kid playing the role of Dewey has really made an effort to embody Jack Black's over the top-ness, which is no small feat.
Which leads me to the question; Jack Black: Crap? Or Not Crap? Or tolerable?
I have good reason to believe there's going to be a pretty big Crap poll bar, but who knows? Somewhere I read a description of him as the embodiment of having a Bard for a D&D character and sinking all your attribute points into Charisma.

Can be ok as a supporting character and/or in small doses. Worked well in High Fidelity and Orange County, for example. But he always seems to play the same character and it's just too much for me if he's center stage.
Will vote for "little bit".

As a person? Easily NC as far as I can tell, he seemed like a stand-up dude in all the interviews I've seen with him.
As an actor? "little bit is ok" is perfect.

Some of the Tenacious D episodes were pretty damn funny, but one of the reasons was because they were short.
A little bit was just enough there.

I think this was the first time I saw him, on Mr Show

I've always liked him. I don't watch everything he does, but I think he's got a thing and he does his thing. Not Crap!

Not a fan of this kind of over the top comedy, very cringe imao. Pretty lame how he threw Kyle Glass under the bus after his Trump comments, seems like a real douche...

Yeah, I've never been a fan but he always struck me as a well-intentioned enough guy before that whole thing. That was shitty.

Annoying when he was 'hip', and mostly does shitty kids movies these days. Crap.

I remember liking Saving Silverman, but it's been a long time. I haven't seen many of his other movies, and found Tenacious D to be pretty dumb.
