anybody remember? i had one of their records, and even saw them live (with chisel, i think), but, outside of them being relatively math-y, i remember very little.

I always thought that they were pretty good. "Kill Atom Smasher" is a great record. I think they were a band that worked in their little niche for as long as they could. Also their single for the Working Holiday series I remember thinking that to be pretty good also.

They played at my college once, and played a truly evil cover of Gary Numan's "Cars".
They were so loud that the campus police came to shut the place down.
Their "Laquer Box" single is great too.

Agreed. I thought they were fun to see play. Plus they had a member with a robot's name so how could you go wrong?

Not crap! Although sometimes I mix up their name with Pitch SHIFTER, who is crap even if they did a funny cover of that one Big Black song. The Pitchblenders is awesome, if only because of the Xerox clip they had to put into their album with the correct tracklisting.
I haven't really cared for anything else Treiopsicus has done, but I really liked the Pitchblenders.
