So utterly not crap. No waffling required. First I liked them in some kind of ironic way, now I just like them.

Otherworldly harmonies, great songs, amazing mandolin work from Ira Louvin ... brilliant stuff that's almost enough to make you love Christianity. Get the When I Stop Dreaming compilation on Razor & Tie and be saved. Thoroughly Not Crap.

Electrical.com once again fills a gap in my musical knowledge.

I suspect that I will enjoy this band forever and ever. The Louvin Brothers! How great!

Thanks to all for sharing this one.

The Louvins are a good start, but don't be afraid to keep going--The Delmore Brothers and the grossly underappreciated Blue Sky Boys are just as great, if not better. And needless to say, you should make an effort to hear every record featuring Don and Phil Everly up to, say, 1973.

I bet the Louvins sound fantastic while cleaning one's rifle in the wilds of Idaho, a can of Big John beans 'n' fixin's warming on the Coleman stove.

The word broadminded is spelled S-I-N

Sometimes profoundly wrong-headed but certainly Not Crap, especially when accompanied by the guitarist extraordinaire Chet Atkins.

The close harmonies on "Pitfall" are great. Check it out if you can.

Possessers of an album named "Weapon Of Prayer". Slightly frighteneing but boy is that some beautiful music.

There IS a higher power indeed.

Last year I learned that it's not difficult to find T-shirts with this image on them for sale in Nashville, Tennessee.

WAY NOT CRAP all around.
