Teen guilty of fetal murder

Nineteen-year-old Gerardo Flores of Lufkin was sentenced to life in prison Monday in a landmark test case of a state fetal protection law. An Angelina County jury deliberated just under four hours, finding him guilty on two counts of capital murder for his part in killing his unborn twins.

the prosecuting attorney wrote:"Hold him fully accountable for this most unholiest of crimes," he finished.
.

well, he didn't write it so much as say it. one good thing about the prosecutor, i guess, is that he knows the law better than he understands grammar. out of all the holy and unholy crimes out there, this is the most unholiest

typical republican position... everybody is innocent until proven an obstacle. all the iraqi kids that US forces have killed don't mean shit compared to these unborn future foster kids.

yep. best to not even think about it. cause it'll just make me angry. fucking texas!

The law includes the definition of a person — with full rights to legal protection — as existing from the moment of conception

I agree with this completely, as I am friends with a couple of fetuses. Man, those dudes know how to party!

We should commit all available resources to this cause.

I could get behind attacking that country for its oil reserves.

God, do I hate Texas.

I would also support a massive land and marine invasion of Florida.

Texas and Florida. Fuck 'em.

Not only does the State of Texas requires parental notification for minors seeking abortion, it is one of three states that also REQUIRES doctors to warn women that abortion might be linked to breat cancer--even though that claim is scientifically unsound. These three states also make it a practice to show women seeking abortion (including rape and incest victims) color pictures of fetuses.
I also just read that abortion is only available in 15 of Texas' 254 counties.
I wonder if any of these fuckers will think for a second that these barriers, and limited access to birth control, are a part of the problem.

Time to turn on the happy music and write a check to Planned Parenthood.

being a staunch republican from Appalachia, I believe in God, eagles, and Mama. I'm so very excited about the terrifying right wing attitude that is sweeping across this fine land of ours! pretty soon, Toby Keith and Kenny Chesney will be replacing that guy on the dollar bill! (I don't know who he is 'cause I've never had one)

comparing florida and texas to other states that suck doesn't detract from the fact that both are inherently shitty, so what, exactly, is your point?? would you feel better if people made a point to mention that michigan and utah were assy places in the same breath?
