Although sometimes the guitar veers dangerously close to U2 territory, definitely NOT CRAP. Tim Harrington is one of the finest most interactive front men since David Yow and the band, is consistant in their vision and execution.
They also handled the loss of a member in a great way.

Les Savy Fav are one of my favorites! They're original and their recordings are always interesting and experimental. Their live show is amazing too. I don't think that there is anything bad I could say about them. Anyone who hasn't heard them ought to pick up Cat and the Cobra and take a few good listens.

yes, the guitars are sometimes close to U2. cat and cobra is one of my all time fav-albums. it has so much atmosphere. go forth and all the other stuff is really good too. i'm so sad that they haven't been in europe for so long. their guitar-player is now in pretty girls make graves as live-member. i hope they will go on and record a new album soon...

Inches may be LSF's defining statement. They should make one more record for us-all to chew on, then break up.
Probably my current favorite band.

I was just thinking something along these lines myself. The thing I don't get is why they're constantly refered to as "art-punk." Yeah all the members were in Design School together but I don't think that's evident in the songs. . .

Listening to "Inches" right now. I don't understand how this can be called "original" or "experimental." Sounds like they listened to a bunch of Wire then made a record. No different then a group like Rapture, just different (obvious) infuences. TOTAL CRAP.

That hurts. Les Savvy Fav is of a much higher caliber.
