Half of her songs sound like the circus, that left hand/right hand quarter pounding, and the other half sound like elementary guitar lessons.

She has this voice, though, and sometimes I feel like listening to it. I feel weak when it happens. It only lasts for a minute because it's crap.

I'd like her more if she were black and 250 pounds.

CRAP. Can't sing, can't play.

She is a choking bore to watch live but I liked a handful of songs off of 'You are Free'

The musicians on her records are always pretty good and overshadow her 'talents'

I always get really annoyed by her personality. If anyone's read the Pitchfork interview, your probably aware of what im talking about. She complained about having to do interviews and stuff and took it out on the interviewer, who seemed to be a big fan of hers. I always hear about one of her shows in the 90's where she got up on stage and just read the newspaper. Then she left, and never played the show. The most recent time shes come to NOLA i heard she was drunk and the sound was bad. I think she hates her fans a lot or something.

I really must say NOT CRAP, because I think her songwriting and her records are great.

I've seen her perform twice, and both times I couldn't figure out why she bothered to walk onstage in the first place.

I like her records enough to not go see her anymore, because I don't want to ruin the feeling I get when I listen to them.

I think Chan is the real deal. Sorry if she does not always entertain or give her fans and concert-goers the feeling she likes them as much as they like her.
