Just read about this. With Rehnquist about to turn to dust, I fear we are in for, say, a 30-year assault.

I am terrified.

I just read about this and was about to post this topic myself. Reasonable people should be horrified.

I have nothing to add to this conversation, but I don't like where this is probably headed.

O Connor resigns. Oh shit.

We can only hope this new Bush impeachment thing will hold some water...

If this subject is causing dizziness or shortness of breath, take two moments to reflect on the Republican-appointed Chief Justice Earl Warren. And even Sandra D. herself.

This is providing me with some temporary relief.

Good points, but that won't happen here.

Bush will appoint someone just to the political right of Attila the Hun. Bush will appoint an ideologue who is incapable of moderation.

We will see at least two more people in the Scalia/Thomas mold on the Supreme Court. I have heard that Idaho Senator Mike Crapo is on the short list. Mike Crapo's voting scorecard received 100% approval from the Christian Coalition.

I feel like my country is being stolen from me. I don't feel overpowered. I feel ripped off.
