Their album Hymns went criminally unnoticed, I think.

I think it even had Ted Parsons on drums. ?

i think they are a fine rock band. they do properly what many other bands do wrong. i think 'streetcleaner' and 'pure' are pretty tremendous records in particular, but all their records are very very good. they kinda remind me, especially in their early stuff, of a metal version of early swans. only not as good as early swans.

very much not crap. let the derision begin!

I haven' tkept up with their latest output, but Streetcleaner was an incredible eye-opener when I first heard it. I have not heard anything really bad (though I could have done without the remixes) so they remain...NOT CRAP

Streetcleaner is a landmark of 1980's industrial noise. The only other Godflesh record I have is called Slavestate, and it is almost dance music.

In the late 1990's they ditched the drum machine and started using a human, but I ain't heard that album.

Not Crap.

I loved Cold World back in college.

I remember enjoying the video for Mothra on MTV back in the day.

Live (with Prong and Napalm Death) they may have been fine. It was unremarkable enough that I don't much remember anything about it. Left no impression.

NOT CRAP.
